When people talk about community spirit in Swaledale and Arkengarthdale
it really means something. Local volunteers have come together through
the Two Dales Community Partnership to develop projects and take advantage
of new funding opportunities and make improvements in the Two Dales. This
includes appointing a community development worker, and offering local
advice and support. To find out more visit
the Two
Dales Community Partnership.
As with all the Dales, the Two Dales have been shaped by the
generations of people who have lived and worked here, the close-knit communities
even have their own dialect.
