The success of the Swale Regeneration Project from a European funding point of view was measured by specific programme outputs. These were:
Ninety businesses to receive assistance
17.5 ha of woodland/semi natural habitat to be returned or put into productive   use
At least ten environmental plans to be implemented

A total of eighteen practical management projects have been undertaken as part of the Swale Regeneration Project delegated grant scheme. These vary from creation of stepping stones and bank reinforcement works to improve access, to the creation of in-channel structures to modify stream flows, and restoration and planting of woodland to benefit wildlife. The location of each site where practical management works has been undertaken is identified on the map.

90 businesses in the area have been assisted through the delegated grant scheme, by the free silage bale wrap recycling scheme, and dissemination of information about grants and services available in the area through this website.
